2010 Rotary Rockfish Tourney

2016 Tourney

Kyle Flippen, with fellow angler Hagen Witt looking on, holds his 42.6 pound rockfish. Kyle’s fish was presented to the weigh master Sunday afternoon as the station was about to close, just moments after what had been the heaviest rockfish left the weigh station. By 0.4 of a pound Kyle took home the $2,000.00 grand prize.

Brandon Haywood and his crew Butch Haywood and Scott Chambers show off the 42.2 pound rockfish that placed 2nd, winning the $1,000.00 prize. With just minutes remaining in Sunday’s weigh-in Brandon delivered this fish overtaking the previous leader. That lead lasted just a few minutes...

Will Sterling, winner of Saturdays Calcutta, receives 16 crisp $100 bills from Mathews Rotary Treasurer Kathy Noble.

Will Sterling and family show off the 41.5 pound rockfish that was caught on Saturday. It was the largest fish landed until the last couple of minutes of weigh-in on Sunday and ended up placing third, earning him his $700.00 share of the purse.

This 34.0 pound monster was almost as big as the angler who landed it. Congratulations to Trevor Martin for landing such a large rockfish and collecting the $100.00 youth prize. Nate Gardner one of the anglers with Trevor helps hold the fish.
